How to Fix the SmartThings App Failing to Upload Custom Art

The native syncing software provided by television manufacturers frequently struggles with uploading custom files, often resulting in endless loading loops, compressed image quality, or outright connection failures. When the wireless app fails, the most reliable solution is a direct, hardwired transfer.

The USB Bypass Method

Using a physical USB flash drive bypasses the app entirely and forces the television to read the files directly into its internal memory. You can find our recommended low-profile drives in the Hardware Studio.

Format the Drive: Connect the USB drive to your computer and format it to exFAT. This ensures it can be read by both Mac/PC and the television's operating system.
Create the Required Folder: The television will only look for art in a specific directory. Create a single folder on the root of the drive named exactly Art.
Transfer the Files: Place your downloaded 4K JPEG files from The Gallery inside this Art folder. Ensure they are unzipped and not hidden within sub-folders.
Direct Connection: Plug the drive directly into the television's One Connect Box or rear USB port. The screen will immediately recognise the drive and provide an on-screen prompt to save the files to 'My Collection'.

A Note on File Preparation
